why LUMBERJACK

We have chosen the Name LUMBERJACK deliberately

The "Holzknecht“ from the pioneering days of forestry and wood industries stands for a nature boy who has strength and tackles, who is a freedom-loving individualist, but at the same time a team player. Lumberjacks work together, eat together, share the joy and sorrows of life. Lumberjacks often work far from home but always return to their roots, their families and friends. 

The location where we planned and realized the organic mountain restaurant LUMBERJACK is an old „peeling area“, traditionally the central workplace of the lumberjack, where the harvested timber was debarked, temporarily stored and transported away. The LUMBERJACK intends to revive the spirit of the early tourism pioneers and motivate everyone involved to cooperate regionally in the best possible way and thus to become part of this idea.
