The Team Lumberjack

WELCOME TO THE MOUNTAIN

We are a team of dedicated colleagues from 14 different nations who fully identify with the LUMBERJACK concept. 

Sustainability is an important part of our daily life. We are flexitarians and pay special attention to the ecological footprint of our food. We have an above-average number of vegetarians and vegans in our team. A nutritional turnaround can make a big contribution to climate change.

Some of our colleagues have years or even decades of experience in the restaurant business, others are motivated career changers who decided to be part of our team because of the LUMBERJACK concept.

Regardless of the working position, everyone in our team is equally important. We have an open and friendly working atmosphere and always treat each other in a friendly and appreciative manner.

Here at LUMBERJACK all employees speak good English, many speak German. We are a colorful family from different nations. Many international guests come to us, that's why English is our main language. Nevertheless, many of us come from a region with a German mother tongue.

Our Service Team

Serviceteam Lumberjack

When you come to the Lumberjack, you will be welcomed by Alois and the service team and get information about the concept of the Food Hall.
 

Our service team will provide you with sufficient tableware and cutlery at the table, supply you with fresh drinking water from the Lumberjack drinking water source and put away your used dishes.

Meat Boutique

Here we grill and stew. The meat for all dishes comes exclusively from the region - with farm slaughter of the animals - without live animal transport. There are always burgers and classics from the Austrian beef cuisine.

IN THE BACKGROUND TAKE CARE OF YOUR WELL-BEING

Our technical, dishwashing and housekeeping teams make sure that everything works technically, that the four fireplaces flicker romantically. They take care of the cleanliness of the dishes and, most importantly, the toilet facilities. Clearing snow and tidying up around the LUMBERJACK is also part of their job.

THE LUMBERJACK TEAM - SUMMER 

DIVERSE, SUPER MOTIVATED AND VERY COOPERATIVE

Many of our large team in winter were keen to work with us in summer too. However, the number of guests in the warm season is not comparable to the winter frequency. Therefore we can only employ a much smaller team. However, most of our winter colleagues are planning to come back. In summer, everyone's tasks are more varied and the departments are mixed. Our kitchen garden and the animals have to be looked after and we also harvest for the winter - kitchen and tea herbs, courgettes, tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins and cabbage. And of course chanterelles, blueberries and cranberries, spruce tops, ... . We dry, we pickle, we ferment, we pickle in oil, we boil down syrups and jams.
